Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with instrument passing and sterile supply management
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Coordinate equipment sterilization and inventory management (remote-friendly documentation)
- Participate in surgical case scheduling and pre-operative preparation
- Train on robotic surgery systems and advanced surgical technologies
- Maintain accurate electronic health records for surgical procedures
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience preferred
- BLS certification and Tennessee state licensure
- Experience with robotic surgery systems (da Vinci) a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Proficiency with EHR systems (remote documentation experience beneficial)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
