Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields according to AORN standards
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrument passing and sterile technique
- Manage surgical equipment sterilization and inventory control
- Document perioperative procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and Joint Commission regulations
- Provide patient positioning and safety support during operations
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification
- Familiarity with major surgical specialties (orthopedic, general, neuro)
- Strong knowledge of sterilization protocols
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
