Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrument passing
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Document surgical cases accurately in EHR systems
- Coordinate sterile supply inventory and equipment sterilization
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification current
- Proficient in sterile processing techniques
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for prolonged periods
- Experience with EHR documentation systems
