Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle specimen collection and processing per protocols
- Perform sterilization and inventory management of surgical instruments
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, AORN, and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience
- Graduate of accredited surgical technology program
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Experience in general surgery, orthopedics, and neurosurgery preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique
