Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction, and patient positioning
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral photos
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain infection control standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for optimal efficiency
- Provide post-op instructions and patient education on oral hygiene
- Manage digital patient records and practice management software
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or radiology license (Kentucky required)
- 2+ years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current provider status
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills and patient rapport abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
