Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and equipment before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory and restock surgical supplies efficiently
- Ensure proper sterilization of equipment following OSHA and AORN standards
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Maintain compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience
- Graduate from accredited surgical technology program
- BLS/CPR certification with current renewal
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork mentality
- Experience with electronic health records preferred
