Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Handle and sterilize surgical equipment according to standards
- Count instruments and supplies before/during/after procedures
- Manage specimen collection and processing
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Completion of accredited surgical technology program
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred
- BLS certification (maintained)
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
