Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor patient vital signs and document surgical events
- Manage surgical inventory and restock supplies between cases
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and AORN standards
- Participate in emergency procedures and trauma cases
- Maintain accurate documentation for surgical records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of scrub tech experience
- BLS/CPR certification
- Experience with general surgery, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and on-call shifts
