Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including instrument transfer and four-handed dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following OSHA guidelines
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation in our digital system
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Order dental supplies and maintain inventory of clinical materials
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from accredited program or X-ray license
- Minimum 1 year experience in a dental practice setting
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- CPR certification and knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills with ability to put patients at ease
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays as needed
