Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide basic bedside care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Assist in the transfer and mobility of patients using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and patients' families regarding patient status and care plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records.
- Adhere to all infection control protocols and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, valid CNA Certification in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
