As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Grace Medical Center, you will be at the forefront of patient care, working alongside skilled nurses to ensure our patients receive the highest quality of service. Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding with the utmost dignity and respect.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, and report any abnormalities immediately.
- Support Medical Procedures: Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, assist with procedures, and provide post-procedure comfort and care.
- Document Patient Information: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, documenting care provided and patient responses.
- Ensure Patient Safety: Implement infection control protocols, maintain a clean and organized patient environment, and assist with mobility and transfers as needed.
- Communicate Effectively: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the nursing staff, providing updates and answering questions regarding patient care.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current and active CNA Certification (or eligibility to obtain) required for this role.
- Experience: No prior experience necessary; we value attitude and aptitude over experience for entry-level candidates.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy and patient-centered care.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of our hiring process.
