Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist with mobility, safely transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Document patient care plans, changes in condition, and daily progress in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of New York.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
