Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist nurses and physicians with medical procedures and patient monitoring equipment.
- Communicate patient status, changes, and concerns to the nursing staff and charge nurse immediately.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients at all times.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions are met.
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
