Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Support patients with mobility issues by safely transferring them and using assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary plans and nutritional requirements.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with RNs and LPNs regarding patient status and care updates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or willingness to obtain certification within [Timeframe, e.g., 3 months].
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting patients and standing for long periods.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
