Responsibilities
- Provide basic bedside care to patients in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Move patients safely using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff or charge nurse immediately.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN.
Qualifications
- Valid and current New York State CNA Certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience as a CNA or in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
