Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare meals and assist patients with feeding according to dietary restrictions.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and provide updates to family members.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment at all times.
- Administer medications and document treatments as directed by the RN or LPN.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Reliable transportation and proof of eligibility to work in the US.
