Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance to ensure patient dignity and hygiene.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report any abnormalities to nursing staff immediately.
- Assist registered nurses with medical procedures, treatments, and medication administration under strict supervision.
- Perform safe transferring and positioning techniques for patients to prevent bedsores and musculoskeletal injuries.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff by adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required and valid in the State of Ohio.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory for all candidates.
- Previous experience in a hospital, LTC facility, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a focus on empathy and patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Current CPR certification and proof of immunizations.
