Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse accurately.
- Assist RNs and LPNs with medical procedures and treatment plans.
- Respond to patient call lights and emergencies promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment at all times.
- Document patient progress and communicate any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license in the State of Illinois.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care with a positive attitude.
