Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Medication Assistance: Support the nursing staff in administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient charts in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in maintaining a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and current North Carolina CNA license.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNA in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited CNA program is mandatory.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
