Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor and record vital signs, fluid intake/output, and patient behavior
- Assist with mobility transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Collaborate with RNs and LPNs to implement care plans
- Maintain clean and sanitized patient environments
- Document observations accurately in electronic health records
- Safely transport patients for procedures and therapies
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active California CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Clear TB test and physical examination within last year
- Proficient in electronic medical record documentation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work across multiple San Diego locations
