Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Document patient care activities and intake/output accurately in electronic health records.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
