Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics.
- Administer medication as prescribed and document accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary nursing team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients at all times.
- Respond to call lights and emergency situations promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Current, valid California CNA License (CNA I or CNA II).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or home health preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Compassionate demeanor with a deep respect for resident dignity.
