Responsibilities
- Monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, and report significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable patient environment.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, progress, and intake/output accurately in electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patients' dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Support medical procedures and treatments under the direct supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Georgia CNA License required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR/BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) is mandatory and must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
