Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, with dignity and respect.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) accurately and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics and assistive devices to prevent injury.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment in accordance with healthcare safety standards.
- Communicate changes in patient behavior, condition, or needs effectively to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed medical personnel.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the State of Georgia.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented work ethic.
