Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide basic daily living assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming patients with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance: Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and exercises using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communication: Report changes in patient condition, mood, or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene: Ensure patients are clean and comfortable by assisting with toileting and oral hygiene as needed.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient room environment.
- Meals: Assist patients with meal times, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are met.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in North Carolina required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well in a team.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
