Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Provide basic personal care and comfort measures to ensure patient safety and hygiene.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper body mechanics to prevent injury to both the patient and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (or eligibility to obtain certification).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus, but we welcome enthusiastic candidates willing to learn.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
