Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility, including transferring patients from beds to chairs or wheelchairs using proper techniques.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and care plans.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current Wisconsin State CNA Certification required (or enrollment in a state-approved CNA program).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to document care accurately.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented attitude.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
