Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Monitor patient condition and report any changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Prepare patient rooms and ensure a clean, sanitary environment.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current and active Virginia CNA license required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a desire to help others.
- Basic computer literacy and typing skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- CPR certification preferred.
