Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, at scheduled intervals.
- Medication Assistance: Support patients with medication administration under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes, concerns, and needs to the Charge Nurse and healthcare team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs.
- Environment Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and organized.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, valid State of Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
