Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with hygiene, mobility, and daily activities.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients with special dietary needs.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions or behavior to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care plans and progress notes in electronic health records (EHR).
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to patient safety.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
