Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Assist nurses and physicians with medical procedures and examinations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Administer medication as directed by the nursing staff and document accurately.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Michigan.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Demonstrated compassion and patience when interacting with patients.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
