Responsibilities
- Assist with Daily Living: Provide direct care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Patient Comfort: Implement care plans to ensure patient comfort, safety, and hygiene in accordance with medical standards.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to report changes in patient condition.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient care logs.
- Environment Maintenance: Assist in keeping patient rooms clean, safe, and organized at all times.
- Meal Assistance: Support patients with meal preparation and feeding as required by their dietary needs.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active California CNA License required.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients; ability to stand for extended periods.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; compassionate demeanor.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
