Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with ambulation and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual preferences.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and family members regarding patient status and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Wisconsin.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or home health preferred but not required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and transferring patients.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality record.
