Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide basic personal care and hygiene support to residents to ensure their dignity and comfort.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate changes in patient condition, mood, or behavior to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, including changing linens and restocking supplies.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required and currently active in North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care with a positive attitude.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
