Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Assist patients with mobility, transferring, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
  • Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff at all times.
  • Document patient care activities, intake, and output accurately in electronic health records.

Qualifications

  • Active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help patients.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
