Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Document patient care activities, intake, and output accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help patients.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
