Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals while ensuring dietary restrictions are met.
- Communicate patient needs and changes in condition to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nurses.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current CNA Certification or eligibility to obtain one (willingness to complete state training if no experience).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong compassion and desire to help the elderly and disabled.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and a positive attitude.
