Responsibilities
- Assist with Daily Living: Provide compassionate personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance to residents with varying levels of mobility.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, as directed by the nursing staff.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with ambulation and transferring techniques to ensure safety and prevent falls within the facility.
- Meal Assistance: Serve and assist patients with meals and hydration, monitoring for dietary restrictions and swallowing difficulties.
- Emotional Support: Build rapport with residents through meaningful conversation and companionship, alleviating feelings of loneliness and anxiety.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with facility protocols and privacy regulations.
- Environment Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- License Requirement: Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required; new graduates welcome to apply.
- Education: Completion of an accredited CNA training program or state-approved nursing assistant course.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow instructions clearly.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Compassion: Genuine desire to improve the quality of life for patients and strong empathy for the elderly or disabled.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
