Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Feed patients according to their specific dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and the nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (Massachusetts State Board).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
