Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities, hygiene, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with feeding, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises as prescribed by nurses or therapists.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and progress updates in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergency situations following established safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active North Carolina CNA Certification (or eligible for reciprocity).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring patients.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for facility-based roles).
