Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality basic bedside care to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to ensure their comfort and hygiene.
- Document patient care information accurately and completely in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status and needs.
- Support the nursing team with meal service, ambulation, and repositioning as needed.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Illinois.
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for entry-level positions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
