Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately.
- Hygiene Assistance: Provide personal hygiene care to ensure patient dignity and comfort.
- Assistance with Feeding: Help patients with meal preparation and feeding as needed, adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic health records.
- Environment Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with facility standards.
- Communication: Report any changes in patient condition or concerns to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of California.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or assisted living facility is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; capable of assisting patients with mobility.
