Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any significant changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, treatments, and medical records.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and the wider healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and visitors.
- Respond to patient calls and requests for assistance promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to quality patient care.
