Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare meals and feed patients according to their dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and assist with toileting and incontinence care.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Colorado CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or home health setting preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Reliable transportation and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program.
