Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment.
- Administer medication as directed by licensed nurses and document all care provided accurately in patient records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Support patients with emotional and psychological needs, providing a compassionate and respectful atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Current, valid California CNA License (or eligible to obtain).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift patients, and perform manual tasks.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
