Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist nurses with procedures and maintain a clean, safe patient environment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Document daily care activities accurately in electronic medical records.
- Support patients with mobility issues using assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by state of Virginia.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
