Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and ambulation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or LPN.
- Document patient progress, symptoms, and daily activities accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies within the facility.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current and active Texas State CNA Certification (CNA 1 License).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
