Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transfers to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patients' dietary restrictions and nutritional plans.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina CNA Certification (required).
- Valid, unencumbered CNA license in the state of North Carolina.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association preferred).
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred but not always required for immediate hires.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
