Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and document vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting abnormalities to the RN immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walking with walkers.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary needs and preferences.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the licensed nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California State CNA License (required).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to patient-centered care.
