Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare patients for medical examinations and treatments, ensuring comfort and privacy.
- Document patient care activities, changes in patient condition, and reactions to medications.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, physicians, and patients' families.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA license in the state of Illinois.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent physical stamina and attention to detail.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
