Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding as required.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Administer prescribed medication and treatments under the supervision of RNs or LPNs.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and any incidents in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in accordance with facility standards and infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Ohio CNA License (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or assisted living facility is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a strong work ethic.
